Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy musical and film about Seymour Krelborn, a meek and hapless florist shop worker who discovers a strange, carnivorous plant he names Audrey II after his crush and co-worker, Audrey. The plant initially appears to be a curiosity, but Seymour soon realizes it feeds on human blood to survive and grow. As Audrey II grows larger, it brings newfound fame and business to the failing flower shop, but it also demands more and more blood, leading Seymour into a dark pact where he must provide human victims to the plant. Audrey dreams of escaping her abusive boyfriend and living a better life with Seymour, while Seymour struggles with the moral consequences of feeding the plant. The story combines elements of horror, comedy, and 1960s pop/rock music, with a Greek chorus of street urchins commenting on the action
