Livability is more concerned with the individuals connection with the urban place and is one of the determinants of measuring the quality of life. It is the sum of the factors that add up to a community’s quality of life, including the built and natural environments, economic prosperity, social stability and equity, educational opportunity, and cultural, entertainment, and recreation possibilities. Livability is a subjective exercise, as everyone will have different priorities on what they want from an area where they live. To measure livability effectively, one needs to picture what their life would be like in the home and how that measures up to their current living situation and goals.
