MGP Bourbon is a term used to refer to sourced bourbon, which is a product bottled by a company that did not distill the liquor. MGP of Indiana is a leading producer of premium distilled spirits, branded spirits, and food ingredient solutions, with operations in several states in the US, as well as Mexico and Northern Ireland. MGP of Indiana has seven whiskey brands of its own, including George Remus bourbon and Rossville Union, but primarily sells its output to various bottlers. MGP juice ends up in a lot of bottles of whiskey on local shelves, and it is often used by small distillers who contract distill their own whiskey without having to spend millions on a facility. Some people are upset when they find out that their whiskey had some of its products sourced from MGP, as they feel lied to or possibly deceived.
