Effective September 30, 2023, the minimum wage in Florida will be $12.00 per hour. This is an increase from the current minimum wage of $11.00 per hour. The minimum wage for tipped employees in Florida will be $8.98 per hour, in addition to tips, through September 29, 2024. After that, the minimum wage for tipped employees will increase by $1.00 each year until it reaches $15.00 per hour on September 30, 2026. From 2027 onwards, the minimum wage will be adjusted annually for inflation. It is important to note that Florida voters approved a state constitutional amendment in November 2020 to gradually increase the states minimum wage each year until reaching $15.00 per hour on September 30, 2026.
