The minimum wage in New York varies depending on the region and industry. As of December 31, 2022, the minimum wage rates are as follows:

• New York City: $15.00 per hour
• Long Island & Westchester County: $15.00 per hour
• Remainder of New York State: $14.20 per hour

Starting January 1, 2024, the minimum wage rates will increase as follows:

• New York City and the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester: $16.00 per hour
• Remainder of New York State: $15.00 per hour
