Mitigation chance in Cyberpunk 2077 is a stat that determines how often the player has a chance to reduce incoming damage. Mitigation strength, on the other hand, determines the percentage by which damage is reduced when mitigation is triggered. For example, if a player has a mitigation chance of 25% and a mitigation strength of 50%, it means that there is a 25% chance of mitigating 50% of the possible damage that can be taken. Mitigation reduces the amount of damage taken when a player gets hit. By default, mitigation grants a chance to reduce any damage taken by 50% . To increase each of these two stats, players need to unlock levels of different perks in the skill tree.
