Mopar is a term used to refer to Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Ram, or Jeep vehicles, with an emphasis on classic or vintage models. The term "Mopar" was created by Chrysler in 1937 as a product name to put on cans of Chrysler Motor Parts Antifreeze. The name is a portmanteau of the terms "motor" and "parts". Mopar parts are original equipment manufactured parts for FCA US LLC vehicles. Mopar also designs and builds a small number of customized vehicles. Mopar technicians are specially trained to know all about Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Fiat vehicles, and they have knowledge taught to them directly by the company that other mechanics might not have. Mopar offers factory-supplied parts that are always designed specifically for the vehicle. Mopar also offers a Vehicle Protection Plan that complements and strengthens the warranty and maintains the vehicle.
