To find out your State Pension age, you can use the online calculator provided by the UK government. Your State Pension age is the earliest age you can start receiving your State Pension, and it may be different from the age you can get a workplace or personal pension. The State Pension age is currently 66 years old for both men and women, but it will start gradually increasing again from 6 May 2026. For those born after 5 April 1960, there will be a phased increase in State Pension age to 67, and eventually 68. The full New State Pension for 2023/24 is £10,600 per year, which is equivalent to £203.85 a week. To receive the full State Pension payment, you must have paid 35 years worth of National Insurance contributions over your working life. To receive the minimum State Pension, you must have paid 10 years worth of contributions.
