According to the National Partys website, their plan is to rebuild the economy, restore law and order, and improve schools and healthcare. They aim to stop Labours wasteful spending, encourage work, reward effort, and let people keep more of what they earn with tax relief. They also plan to cut red tape, build infrastructure for growth like roads and public transport, drive technology and innovation, support trade and investment, grow skills, and keep talent in New Zealand. The National Party believes that a working economy means New Zealand can afford the quality public services that everyone relies on. They also have a set of values that include loyalty to the country, recognition of the Treaty of Waitangi, national and personal security, equal citizenship and equal opportunity, individual freedom and choice, personal responsibility, competitive enterprise and rewards for achievement, limited government, strong families, and caring communities.
In addition, the National Party has released a 100-day action plan if elected. The plan includes policies such as reducing public sector expenditure, removing the Auckland Regional Fuel Tax, and establishing an Auckland and Northland water entity.
It is worth noting that the National Party won the most seats in the 2023 New Zealand general election, but they will need the support of other parties to form a government.
