The minimum wage in Oregon for 2025 is set based on the region where the work is performed. Effective July 1, 2025, the rates are:
- Portland metro area: $16.30 per hour (covers parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties within the urban growth boundary)
- Standard minimum wage: $15.05 per hour (applies to counties like Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Deschutes, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk, Tillamook, Wasco, Yamhill, and parts of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties outside the urban growth boundary)
- Non-urban counties: $14.05 per hour (includes Baker, Coos, Crook, Curry, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler counties)
Employers must pay the minimum wage applicable to the location where the employee performs most of their work. For employees working in multiple regions, the highest applicable rate or prorated regional rates should be used. These rates are adjusted annually based on inflation.
