Polysexuality is a sexual identity in which people feel attraction toward more than one gender. The prefix “poly” means many, and polysexual individuals are attracted to people of multiple genders. Polysexual, bisexual, pansexual, and pomosexual, all refer to sexual orientations that mean a person is attracted to at least two genders. Multisexual is an umbrella term for these types of attractions. Polysexual people may be physically, romantically, or emotionally attracted to some or many genders. Being polysexual does not mean that a person is less committed to their partner or that they are attracted to everyone. Polysexual people are not necessarily more sexually active than people with other sexual orientations. Polyamory, on the other hand, refers to an involvement in multiple, romantic relationships at once.
