Project quality management consists of four main stages:

• Quality control: This stage involves monitoring and recording the results of quality activities to assess performance and recommend necessary changes. It is focused on identifying solutions to problems relating to quality.

• Quality improvement: This stage involves continuous improvement of the projects quality. It includes kaizen, value-added management, and other key elements of quality management.

Effective project quality management helps to control the cost of a project, establish standards to aim for, and lower the risk of product failure or unsatisfied clients. It is important to plan project quality management from the beginning and monitor it throughout the project.
