The Protect Battery feature in Samsung limits the maximum charge to 85% to improve the overall lifespan of the battery. This feature is turned off by default, but it can be enabled through the quick toggles section or the settings menu. When enabled, it optimizes battery lifespan and performance while ensuring safety by limiting the charging capacity of the battery. However, keep in mind that charging your battery up to 100% too frequently may negatively impact the overall lifespan of the battery. If you prefer to charge your battery up to 100%, you can turn off the battery protection function. It is recommended to turn on the Protect Battery feature when you go to sleep and turn it off when you wake up to protect the battery at night charge.
