Raid Hour is a weekly event in Pokemon GO that takes place every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. During this hour, one particular Pokemon or a group of Pokemon appears more frequently in Raids. Raid Hours may feature new, rare, Legendary, or Mythical Pokemon as Raid Bosses, sometimes with exclusive moves. The featured Pokemon will be the only Pokemon in Raids during this window of time, taking place more frequently than they normally do. Raid Hours usually feature difficult Bosses, so it’s best to take them on with a group of friends. Players can benefit from increased spawns, bonuses, and the opportunity to catch Pokemon that may be useful for evolving, trading, or battling. During Raid Hour, the number of raids taking place increases, making it easier for Trainers to find and participate in raid battles. To participate in Raid Hour, players need to ensure their device is set to automatically detect their time zone, set their GPS settings to the highest accuracy possible, and ensure their internet connection is as strong as possible. Players can collect their daily free Raid Pass by spinning the Photo Disk at any Gym.
