Retrograde ejaculation is a condition where semen enters the bladder instead of emerging through the penis during orgasm. If retrograde ejaculation is the result of severe damage to the nerves or muscles of the bladder, then it may not be possible to restore normal ejaculation. Retrograde ejaculation isn’t harmful and doesn’t affect the persons ability to get an erection or have an orgasm. However, if the person is concerned about their fertility, they may want to get treatment. If they have been trying to get their partner pregnant for a year without success, they should visit their doctor.
