In Islam, the concept of Rizq refers to sustenance or provision that Allah bestows upon His creation, including food, water, clothing, shelter, and all other forms of sustenance that are necessary for human survival. Rizq is not limited to material provisions in the form of money, food, and jobs, but it encompasses everything that brings benefits or goodness to us, including wealth, family ties, spirituality, faith, intellect, and health. Rizq is unpredictable and comes through unknown sources and in varying forms. Muslims are encouraged to trust in Allahs providence and to have faith that He will provide for them, even in difficult circumstances. The concept of Tawakkul, or reliance on Allah, is central to the concept of Rizq in Islam. Muslims are encouraged to be grateful for the blessings they receive, to use their wealth and possessions in ways that benefit others and bring them closer to Allah, and to trust in Allahs decisions.
