RTR stands for Right to Represent. It is a document that communicates to the client organization that the candidate agrees to be presented for the position by a specific staffing firm. RTR is a legal document that is drafted by the recruiting agency and includes the name of the recruitment company, contact details of the recruitment company, agreement information mentioning the parties involved, candidates name, purpose of the agreement, basic information about the services offered by the recruitment company, candidates authorization, and details of the position. Signing an RTR means that the candidate agrees to be represented by the concerned recruiting company to the end client. If a client organization requests an RTR, it is most often not optional. Candidates may not be considered for the specified position without a completed RTR. RTR removes the risk of blind submissions by the recruiter under which the candidates were submitted without their consent or knowledge. If a candidate signs multiple RTRs for a particular position, they are usually disqualified from consideration.
