SABER is a space battle station that is part of SHIELD, Marvels counter-terrorism and intelligence agency. It is designed to look after extraterrestrial threats and stand as a first line of defense against any such adversary of alien nature. SABER is run by Nick Fury and is a human-Skrull aerospace defense system. It is not the same as SWORD, which is a sister organization to SHIELD that looks after threats that are interdimensional in nature. The full form of SABER is still unknown. It is unclear what SABER does, but it is speculated that it is investigating an anomaly close to Earth that might tie into Monica Rambeaus powers. SABER is mentioned in the first episode of Secret Invasion, and Nick Fury is in charge of the SABER space station, where human SHIELD agents and Skrulls who work for the organization stay together to operate the battle station.
