After 26 weeks of training at sea, the midshipmen are commissioned as Sub-Lieutenants with backdated seniority. To become a sailor in the Pakistan Navy, one must be an unmarried male citizen of Pakistan, not more than 28 years old, and meet certain height and qualification requirements.
