Saudi National Day is a public holiday in Saudi Arabia celebrated annually on September 23rd to commemorate the proclamation that renamed the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 through a royal decree by King Abdulaziz ibn Saud. It is one of the three non-religious holidays observed in the country, the other two being the Saudi Founding Day and Saudi Flag Day. The day is deeply entrenched in the heart and history of Saudi Arabia when nationals and expatriates who call the Kingdom home celebrate the transformative journey the country has embarked on over the past 93 years.

On this day, roads and buildings are decorated with Saudi flags, and people wear the national colors of green and white, and display balloons in the same. The day is also an opportunity for the regime to rally support and promote nationalism.
