Google Search Labs is a platform for experimenting with and testing new goods, including new capabilities and experiments for Google Search in a preview format before they become publicly available. Google Search Labs is part of Googles larger overall effort to enable users to experiment with new and emerging capabilities while in development. The primary Labs portal lists an array of AI experiments, including the following:

- Experimentation.
To sign up for Search Labs, you need to be 18 years or older, have a personal Google account, and use the Chrome browser on a desktop or mobile device. You also need to reside in a region where Search Labs is accessible. Once you meet all the requirements, you can sign up by following these steps:
- Open the Google Chrome app.
- Head to the Google Search Labs website to see the current range of experiments.
- Find an experiment that interests you.
- Turn on the experiment and provide feedback.
Search Labs experiments, including AI-powered ones, are intended to help test out ideas with interested users. At launch, there are three experiments in Google Search Labs:
- Search Generative Experience (SGE)
- Code Tips
- Add to Sheets feature
The experiments available in Search Labs are constantly changing, and not all of them will be fully released. Over time, new products will enter Search Labs, while older ones that arent successful will be removed.
