In the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Master Shifu is a red panda and one of the main supporting characters. He is the current senior master of the Jade Palace and trainer of many warriors, including the Furious Five and Po, the protagonist of the series. Shifu was the student of the late Master Oogway. He is known for his wisdom, power, and sense of humor. In Chinese, "Shifu" means "skilled person" or "master".
