Sound Check is a feature on iPhone that adjusts the loudness between different songs to play at the same volume. It scans the songs and finds each songs loudness, and saves this information in each songs metadata, which means that the actual and original songs are not modified. The feature is designed to keep the volume between songs consistent, so if you are listening to some songs and one has much louder content, it will adjust it so it has a similar volume as the rest.
To turn Sound Check on or off on an iPhone, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Music.
- Turn Sound Check on or off.
It is worth noting that Sound Check is only available in Apples stock Music app and does not work in other apps like Spotify.
