The A-spot, also known as the anterior fornix erogenous zone, is a pleasure point located deep inside the vagina between the cervix and the bladder. It is sometimes referred to as the "female prostate" because it is in the same location as the prostate in people who have one. The A-spot is located about two inches higher than the G-spot. It is a smooth area on the front wall of the vagina, and it feels like the rest of the vagina to the touch, making it tricky to discover. The A-spot requires penetration for stimulation, and research shows that less than 20% of people with vulvas can achieve orgasm through penetration alone. Due to the proximity of the anus to the vaginal wall, the A-spot can be indirectly stimulated through anal penetration, but vaginal penetration is able to hit the A-spot more directly. To find the A-spot, one can use a well-lubricated sex toy, such as a dildo, to apply pressure to the spot, or try stimulating the spot anally.
