The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) is a trade association based in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, that represents over 350 American television and film production companies in collective bargaining negotiations with entertainment industry trade unions. Since 1982, the AMPTP has been responsible for negotiating virtually all industry-wide guild and union contracts. The AMPTP negotiates 58 industry-wide collective bargaining agreements on behalf of hundreds of motion picture and television producers. The AMPTP is the entertainment industrys official collective bargaining representative. The AMPTP is a key trade association for major film and television producers in the United States. The AMPTPs goal is to maximize the bottom lines of its members, which include studios, streamers, and networks such as Disney, Netflix, Amazon, Warner Bros-Discovery, Apple, Universal, Sony, Paramount, ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS.
