As of April 2019, the capacity of the Gabba has been reduced to around 36,700 due to the addition of a new scoreboard, extra space behind each teams bench, and The Verandah in recent years. The Gabba is an iconic stadium in Brisbane and is home to the Brisbane Lions, Brisbane Heat, and Queensland Bulls. The stadium has undergone several renovations since 1993, with the sixth and final stage of the $128 million redevelopment completed in 2005, increasing the seating capacity to 42,000. However, the Gabba will be demolished and rebuilt for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, with the new stadium accommodating 50,000 people. The Gabba is owned and operated by Stadiums Queensland and has a range of facilities and services available for patrons and venue hirers to utilize, including corporate facilities for hire, player/athlete facilities, stadium access, concession stands, and media facilities.
