The Cotton Bowl Stadium is an outdoor stadium located in Dallas, Texas, United States, on the site of the State Fair of Texas, known as Fair Park). It was opened in 1930 as Fair Park Stadium with a seating capacity of 45,000. Over the years, the stadiums capacity has been increased several times, and today it has a capacity of more than 91,000 seats, making it one of the largest stadiums in the country. The Cotton Bowl was the longtime home of the annual college football post-season bowl game known as the Cotton Bowl Classic, for which the stadium is named.
