The Tumauini Church, also known as the Church of San Matias, is a Roman Catholic church located in the municipality of Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines. It was built from 1707 to 1805 by three succeeding Dominican priests and is mostly made from bricks. The church is known for its brick, Baroque-style architecture and was designed by Dominican architect-friar Domingo Forto in 1784. The churchs facade features a magnificent display of the use of ornamented brick laid out in a characteristic design, with each brick customized and numbered to fit the walls. The churchs design is so intricate that artisans from Pampanga were hired to carve the moldings for its clay inset. The churchs bell tower is cylindrical and is the only one of its kind in the Philippines. The church was declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and has been considered for the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since 2006 under the collective group of Baroque Churches of the Philippines.
