The Egg Theory is a philosophical concept that was proposed by Andy Weir, a US novelist known for his book "The Martian"). The theory argues that the universe is made entirely and exclusively for an individual. The theory is based on Weirs short story called "The Egg," which follows a nameless 48-year-old man who discovers the "meaning of life" after he dies). In the story, the man is told by "God" that his universe is an egg, and once he has grown and reached maturity, he will be born again or hatch into his final state as a God. The Egg Theory suggests that every person is interconnected and part of one another, and all experiences, good and bad, are small parts of a unique world that was created for an individual to grow and mature in. The theory is similar to the philosophical concept of solipsism, which suggests that only ones mind is sure to exist. The Egg Theory has inspired many people, including rapper Logic, who used it as inspiration for his album "Everybody" released in 2017).
