The full form of NEET is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET is a single-level national exam carried out for medical aspirants enabling them to seek admissions to medical colleges in India. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year under the guidance of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. NEET is the only medical entrance exam at the undergraduate level that follows the pen-paper mode. NEET replaced the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) completely from 2017 onwards. NEET is an important entrance exam for many medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and post-graduation in both government and private medical colleges. The NEET exam is mainly conducted to fill medical and dental seats in all medical colleges of India. The NEET exam is conducted in nine regional languages and seven national languages.
