However, the fastest race lap is held by James Golding, who set a time of 1:59.8375 during the 2021 Bathurst 1000 event on 2 December 2021, driving a Ligier JS F3–S5000. Its worth noting that faster laps have been recorded at Mount Panorama but not during a race, so they do not qualify as official records.
