The Las Vegas Sphere is a massive spherical venue located just off the Las Vegas Strip and east of the Venetian resort). It is a revolutionary venue for immersive shows, concerts, and events, and is the worlds largest spherical structure, standing at over 360 feet tall. The Sphere is a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination made possible by the collaboration of 22nd-century technology with the worlds greatest artists. It is designed by Populous and was initially a partnership between the Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) and Las Vegas Sands Corporation). The project was announced in February 2018 and is scheduled to open in 2023. The Spheres dome alone weighs 13,000 tons and has a surface area of 220,000 square feet, using six million pounds of steel. The Sphere will host a wide variety of Las Vegas entertainment events, including original immersive experiences, concert residencies, marquee sporting events, corporate events, and more. The studio will also produce content in association with the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will travel past the Sphere).
