The book of Revelation is the last book of the Bible and is a message of hope and assurance for Christians. It is a message of victory over evil and the triumph of Gods global purposes in the world. The book is not a secret code or puzzle to predict the end of the world, but rather a message to seven ancient churches who were facing persecution. The book of Revelation reveals to us where the world is going and tells us what we should do to be part of the new world that is coming. The book brings to a final conclusion the entire sweep of redemptive history that began in Eden. The main message of the book of Revelation is that God rules, even in an evil day; that God has not forsaken his people; and that goodness will finally triumph and prevail. The book of Revelation is supposed to give us comfort and encouragement, not by revealing to us the Antichrist, but by revealing to us the victorious Christ.
