The minimum height required for entry into the Indian Army for male cadets is 157 cm or as decided by the respective recruiting agency. However, male candidates belonging to the north-eastern region, Garhwal, Kumaon, and Gorkhas have a minimum height requirement of 152 cm. An allowance for growth of 02 cm is made for candidates below 18 years of age at the time of examination. The minimum height requirement for female cadets is 152 cm. However, female candidates belonging to the Gorkhas, northeast region of India, Garhwal, and Kumaon have to meet the minimum height of 148 cm.
