As of September 2023, the minimum wage in Trinidad and Tobago is TT$15.00 per hour for all workers. This rate has been in effect since December 1, 2019. The government mandates the minimum wage, and no worker in Trinidad and Tobago can be paid less than this mandatory minimum rate of pay. Employers who fail to pay the minimum wage may be subject to punishment by the government.

It is worth noting that there have been calls to increase the minimum wage in Trinidad and Tobago. However, some business groups do not believe that an increase to $30 per hour, as proposed by the Joint Trade Union Movement, is sustainable or practical. As of September 2022, Trinidad and Tobago was ranked 46th in the world for national minimum wage, with a monthly minimum wage of €475.7, or 5,708 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
