There are two different movies titled "The Long Shadow." One is a 2019 movie about a young female Sheriffs Deputy in rural Louisiana who takes on her towns old money establishment when the woman she loves, an attorney, fights to stop a rail deal. The other is a 2017 documentary that traces racism in America from the days of slavery through today. It looks at everything from laws and policies that were intended to keep black people down to violent, hate-fueled incidents.
