The newest Oculus headset is the Meta Quest 3, which was announced by Mark Zuckerberg in June 2023 and is set to launch later in the year. The Meta Quest 3 features higher resolution, stronger performance, and a next-generation Snapdragon chipset developed in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, which delivers more than twice the graphical performance as the previous generation Snapdragon GPU in Quest 2. The headset also includes Meta Reality technology, which lets users seamlessly blend their physical world with the virtual one, and allows them to navigate that space in natural, intuitive ways that were nearly impossible before. The Meta Quest 3 is expected to be more expensive than the Oculus Quest 2, but Meta has lowered the price of the Quest 2 to $299.99 USD for the 128GB SKU to help even more people access the magic of VR. Oculus Quest is no longer available, but users can step into Metas most advanced all-in-one VR headset with Oculus Quest 2.
