The National Incident Management System (NIMS) is a system that provides a consistent nationwide approach for federal, state, local, and tribal governments to work together to prepare for, prevent, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of incidents, regardless of the incidents cause, size, location, or complexity. NIMS training program facilitates training and qualification of emergency management personnel to NIMS concepts and principles. NIMS credentials are earned by students, trainees, apprentices, employees, and military personnel nationwide and around the world. The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) is a recognized non-profit organization that provides certifications for various specialties in advanced manufacturing. NIMS credentials are earned through secondary, post-secondary, apprenticeship programs, and work-based curricula that include both “hands-on” performance and theory tests.
