The Power Play multiplier is a feature that can be added to a Powerball ticket to multiply the value of non-jackpot prizes. The Power Play number is drawn ahead of each Powerball drawing and is chosen by a random number generator with weighted values for each multiplier option. The Power Play can provide 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or 10x the value of non-jackpot prizes, depending on the Power Play number drawn. The 10x multiplier is only available when the jackpot is worth less than $150 million. The Power Play feature doubles the second division prize to $2 million and multiplies winnings from the 3rd to 9th prize divisions up to five times. The payout chart shows how much each Power Play number drawn would boost prize winnings.
