The Sphere is a spherical music and entertainment arena located in Paradise, Nevada, near the Las Vegas Strip and east of the Venetian resort. It is the largest spherical structure in the world, standing at over 360 feet tall and with a surface area of 580,000 square feet of fully programmable LED exterior. The Sphere is a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination that features immersive shows, concerts, and events. It is a wonder of technology and engineering, and it is being built to mark a tectonic shift in live entertainment. The Spheres dome alone weighs 13,000 tons and uses six million pounds of steel. The venue has 17,500 seats inside, and it is designed to host a wide variety of Las Vegas entertainment events, including original immersive experiences, concert residencies, marquee sporting events, corporate events, and more. The Sphere opened on September 29, 2023, with the first of 25 performances by U2, followed by the debut of The Sphere Experience featuring Postcard from Earth, the latest from director Darren Aronofsky.
