The Working Family Payment (WFP) is a weekly tax-free payment for employees with children in Ireland. It is designed to support people who are on low pay and was previously known as Family Income Supplement (FIS) . To apply for the WFP, you will need a MyGovID account. You can apply online at MyWelfare.ie if you have a MyGovID verified account. You will be asked for information about your details, your children, your relationship status, your employment, and your finances. You will also be required to enter your account name and IBAN.

To calculate the amount of WFP you may get, you can use a worksheet available on the Citizens Information website. The worksheet will help you work out the amount of WFP you may get based on your weekly household income from employment, net earnings for WFP purposes, and the maximum income limit for your family size.
