The Hindi word for transgender is "ट्रांसजेंडर"). It refers to people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from the sex they were assigned at birth). The term "transgender" is an umbrella term that includes people who identify as trans women, trans men, non-binary, genderqueer, and others whose gender identity or expression does not conform to traditional gender norms).
