True Tone is a technology developed by Apple that is present in the displays of many of its latest devices, including iPhones from the iPhone 8 onwards, all the latest iPads, and Apples laptops launched after mid-2018. True Tone uses advanced sensors to measure the ambient light color and brightness and then adjusts the color and intensity of the display to match the ambient light, so that images appear more natural and accurate. This feature automatically balances the color temperature or how warm or cool it is on your iPhone with the surrounding environment. True Tone is switched on by default, but it can be enabled or disabled in the settings. Some people prefer to turn off True Tone for personal preference, like Night Shift or auto-brightness, sometimes you just want things to stay static and not be changing while youre looking at them.
