"Turbo cancer" is a term used by anti-vaxxers to claim that COVID-19 vaccines cause particularly aggressive and fast-growing cancers, but there is no scientific evidence to support this claim. The term is not recognized as a real phenomenon by cancer or immunology experts. In fact, COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to be safe and effective in preventing COVID-19, which can be especially dangerous for people with weakened immune systems, including cancer patients. Studies have shown that COVID-19 vaccines can produce neutralizing antibodies in cancer patients, although they may be less effective in some patients with blood cancers. Cancer patients are encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect themselves from severe disease and death.
