Unani or Yunani medicine is a traditional system of medicine based on the teachings of the Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen, as well as Arab and Persian elaborations upon the Greek system of medicine. The term "Unani" means "Greek" in Arabic, and the system is based on the classical four humours: phlegm, blood, yellow bile, and black bile. Unani medicine is practiced in Muslim culture in South Asia and modern-day Central Asia.

According to practitioners of Unani medicine, the health of the human body is maintained by the harmonious arrangement of seven basic physiological principles, known as al-umoor al-tabiyah. These principles include elements, temperament, bodily humours, organs and systems, vital spirit, faculties or powers, and functions. Unani medicine considers the human body as a single unit, made of these seven components.

Unani medicine is a holistic traditional system of medicine that relies on natural healing based on principles of harmony and balance, uniting the physical, mental, and spiritual realms. It is considered a pseudoscientific system of medicine by some, and the Indian Medical Association describes Unani practitioners who claim to practice medicine as quacks. However, there are several Indian universities devoted to Unani medicine, and undergraduate and post-graduate degrees are awarded for completing an Unani program.
