A UPI ID is a unique identifier used in the UPI system for facilitating digital transactions. It is an address that identifies you on UPI, typically in the format of yourname@bankname. To create a UPI ID on Google Pay, you need to add a bank account that works with UPI. Once you have added a bank account, you can create up to 4 UPI IDs for each bank account you add. To create a new UPI ID on Google Pay, follow these steps:
- Open Google Pay.
- Tap your photo in the top right corner.
- Tap Payment methods.
- Tap the bank account for which you want to create a new UPI ID.
- Select Manage UPI IDs.
- Next to the UPI ID you want to create, tap Add.
- When making a payment, you can select the UPI ID you want under “Choose account to pay with” .
You can also find your UPI ID on Google Pay by following these steps:
- Open Google Pay.
- Tap your photo in the top right corner.
- Tap Bank account.
- Tap the bank account whose UPI ID you want to view.
- You’ll find the associated UPI ID under "UPI IDs".
