Voice isolation is a feature available on iPhones and iPads that prioritizes the users voice and blocks out background noise during phone calls or FaceTime calls. It is designed to make the users voice clearer and easier to hear for the person on the other end of the call. Voice isolation works by using machine learning to distinguish sounds and block out any ambient noise, so that the users voice comes through clearly.

To turn on voice isolation during a call, the user needs to swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center, tap Mic Mode, and select Voice Isolation. The feature will be enabled for the duration of the call and will persist for that app until the user chooses a different Mic Mode. Voice isolation is available on iPhones and iPads running iOS 15 or later, and on certain third-party apps.

It is important to note that voice isolation is not a universal setting, so the user will have to enable it in every app they use for calls. Additionally, voice isolation only affects the sound quality of the users voice, not the sound quality of the person they are speaking to.
