Voice Isolation is a feature available on iPhone and iPad that prioritizes the sound of your voice during a phone call or FaceTime call and blocks out background noise to help make your voice more clearly heard. It is a useful feature when you are in a noisy environment and it is hard for the person you are calling to hear you. Voice Isolation is available on iPhone XR, iPhone XS models, and later, iPad (8th generation) and later, all iPad Pro 11-inch models, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and later, iPad Air (3rd generation) and later, and iPad mini (5th generation) and later. To turn on Voice Isolation during a call, you need to swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center, tap Mic Mode, and select Voice Isolation. Voice Isolation is available during FaceTime or phone calls on iOS 15 or later, and during phone calls on iOS 16.4 or later. Wide Spectrum is another setting that is available during FaceTime audio or video calls, which leaves all ambient noise completely unfiltered so that the person you are calling can hear everything around you and not just your voice.
