WPC stands for Wood-Plastic Composite, which is a composite material made of wood fiber/wood flour and thermoplastic such as polythene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, or polylactic acid. WPCs are relatively new materials compared to the long history of natural lumber as a building material. They are used in a variety of applications, including outdoor deck floors, railings, fences, landscaping timbers, cladding and siding, park benches, molding and trim, prefab houses, window and door frames, indoor furniture, and commercial spaces and businesses.

WPCs are often considered a sustainable material because they can be made using recycled plastics and the waste products of the wood industry. However, the polymers and adhesives added make WPC difficult to recycle again.

In addition to outdoor applications, WPCs are also used in interior applications such as modular kitchens, wall paneling, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets, railings, office furniture, and industrial sections. WPC boards are also used commercially in advertising, such as in making signboards, exhibition stands, graphics, and display boards.

WPC flooring is a type of flooring that is made up of a combination of wood flour or fibers and heated thermoplastic resins. It is 100% waterproof and can be installed in places that laminate should not, such as commercial bathrooms, commercial kitchens, and areas below ground level.
