Zscaler Client Connector is a lightweight application that runs on a users endpoint device and is included as part of Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access. It automatically forwards traffic to the closest Zscaler service edge, which routes it to the internet, a SaaS application, or a private application through the appropriate zero trust service. Zscaler Client Connector is designed to provide a seamless user experience and automatically recognizes when the user is connected to a trusted network. It allows administrators to view data for remote devices with the app deployed as well as manage policies specifically for the app. With integrated Zscaler Deception, security teams can instantly deploy endpoint decoys to detect and block sophisticated attacks without requiring any additional agents. Zscaler Client Connector supports most device types, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, POS systems, and RF scanners (mobile computers) on platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS, CentOS 8, and Ubuntu 20.04.
